Nearly four and a half months after the previous coach's initial media briefing as Rangers head coach, successor the German coach met with the media at Ibrox for the initial occasion.

The magnitude of the task ahead of him is well known, given Martin's chaotic and disappointing 123-day tenure.

However, what precisely did we learn from the 36-year-old German's first public appearance as the club's manager?

The Manager's Main Priority - Winning Comes First

One thing came through clearly from the new coach's initial presentation in front of the Scottish media - he understands the necessity to secure victories, and do so rapidly.

His predecessor Martin lasted only 17 matches and four months as manager, so the inquiry emerged about what timeframe the new man believes is reasonable to transform the struggling team.

While skillfully avoiding a specific response that might create later expectations, Rohl's message was quite clear.

"Hopefully as soon as possible," he stated. "This is crucial.
"In this business you have not much opportunity. You can discuss future plans but it's understood it's about immediate results and the short-term is about securing victories. This is my requirement.
"One thing is also clear - I require every squad member to comprehend our intended to perform. I come back to my primary theme: victory comes first, it's attractive and unity. By following this sequence, I'm convinced that I will remain very long here."

The previous manager needed security protection to exit the Falkirk Stadium after his last game in charge.

We've witnessed how hostile situations can turn at football clubs when performances decline. Demonstrations have almost become an expected aspect of the matchday experience on both sides of the city these days.

As Rangers' youngest ever head coach, the inquiry asked about which attributes the coach thinks he possesses that would allow him to cope, never mind excel, in among the most pressurized roles in British football?

"In my opinion pressure in football is normal," he stated. "You must learn that very quickly.
"I believe some people might mention my youth but I have been 16 years in this career. I experienced a great opportunity to work with the German club and serve as only an assistant coach, but I experienced what it means to be a head coach and the demands involved.
"You begin getting results and then certain people will say you must produce entertaining football. That's the next phase but that's exactly what I want. I enjoy those expectations and I look forward for what's ahead."

There were numerous inquiries from journalists for Thelwell.

Much discussion has focused on the hiring of Robbie Thelwell as head of recruitment, with supporters skeptical about his qualifications for the position.

However, he defended and clarified the choice to bring Thelwell Jnr to the club.

"It remains awkward to hear and optically I think we all agreed when we made this decision to hire Robbie that he would be viewed in a particular way," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of the situation is that we want to attract the top talent to this club.
"My perspective on Robbie's career and background is he didn't need family help in soccer.
"He's worked at Villa as head scout, after which he joined Norwich as scouting chief and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our hiring him, multiple top division clubs sought to sign him. What we did right at the beginning of proceedings was discuss with Patrick, Andrew and vice-chairman Paraag Marathe about this situation.
"I remained extremely open and I think he likely experienced a stricter process than any other employee by this football club.
"I'm certain is that he will work constantly to be successful for Rangers and I'm looking forward seeing him demonstrating that he's going to be a valuable staff member for Rangers."

Thelwell also defended the signing of forward Chermiti, who arrived at the club for a reported initial fee of eight million pounds, after failing to find the net in 24 games for Everton.

It was Thelwell who brought the Portugal young international to Merseyside from Sporting Lisbon - once more for significant money in a £15m deal.

The question came if he stands by his expensive signing, who hasn't yet register in seven outings for Rangers.

"Yes, completely," Thelwell responded. "I think the striker is a player who's possesses great ability.
"I haven't questioned him in any way. Similarly, I think Danny will assist in get the best out of Youssef.
"These are early days for the young player, he's a young talent and of course with young talents they occasionally take time.
"However, I'm convinced throughout of his time here he's going to prove that he is highly capable player."

Stewart Understands Supporters' Frustration and Hurt

Stewart was also facing scrutiny, considering the criticism that has been aimed his way by some of the club's fans.

There was even a sign in the Sandy Jardine stand during the recent draw with United inviting Stewart - and Thelwell - to pack his bags before they were packed for him.

Like his football director, the CEO did not avoid the issue.

"I completely understand the disappointment and hurt that the supporters are feeling because performances this season haven't been good enough and nobody's happy with them," he said.
"The hurt and disappointment fans experience is mirrored inside the boardroom.
"Recognize that there has to be a channel for that dissatisfaction and in my role, that's me.
"I'm a focal point for such issues and my responsibility as a
